Well goes the saying " all work and no play makes jack a dull boy". 42nd Annual Sports Day was celebrated in Chinmaya vidyalaya Bokaro on 22nd December 2018. With the honourable presence of DIG IPS Prabhat Kumar as chief guest. Swamini Samyuktananda, Acharaya; Chinmaya Mission Bokaro, Shri Mahesh Tripathi, Secretary; Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro, Dr Ashok Singh, Principal; Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, Shri Ashok Kumar Jha, Vice Principal; Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro were also present to grace the occasion. The list of events included 100 meter and 200 meter race, 4X100 meter relay race, bunny hop and pyramid race and many more. Students from nursery to class 12 participated in their respective categories. The event was a success as the objective of holistic development and inculcating true sportsman spirit was achieved.

"Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there." The sportsmanship of the athletes of Group A clearly indicated their zeal and enthusiasm towards achieving their goal.

The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit.

Inter house competitions aim to aid overall development of the children. It aims to increase learners participation and team spirit and to develop social, team work and organization skills. Students develop a sense of belonging and feeling of unity in being a part of specific house. The four houses named Jal(blue) house, Prithvi (green), Agni (Red) and Vayu (yellow) had inter-house Kho-kho and football matches on 13th of July 2019 at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Bokaro. The winners of matches were as mentioned under: 1. Inter house Football match (Std 5 to 8) Boys Vayu House Girls Prithvi House 2. Inter house Kho-kho match Boys Vayu House Girls Prithvi House

It is a matter of great moment for Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro when Mr. Harihar Pandey, HOD Physical Education received the 4th PEFI National Award( Awards for Excellence in the field of Physical Education and Sports) named after Dr. G.P. Gautam on 25th September 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The honour was bestowed upon him in the category of “Best Physical Education Teacher(Male) East”.
